My Midwives believes a sustainable earth begins with birth, and we are committed to supporting the most optimal pregnancy, birth and post birth period. My Midwives provides midwifery continuity of care as one of Australia’s largest private practices and we have the ability to provide birth care in a range of settings including hospitals, birth centres and home.
My Midwives provides continuity with a named midwife as your primary caregiver. Your antenatal care will cover all aspects of your care including listening to your story, your desires for this pregnancy and birth, and all your routine pregnancy visits. As endorsed midwives with visiting access we can order scans, blood tests and referrals but also respect your choices in how you wish to be cared for. We will monitor your own and your baby’s physical and mental well being.
Having a midwife who also has visiting access to a hospital provides you with a full suite of options, meaning that you can be certain of a primary care provider working autonomously, but collaboratively, in their care. This may be important for some women but we are equally comfortable in the journey outside of hospital for women wanting to birth at home.
After your baby is born you will receive care until at least six weeks after birth at home, in hospital or in our clinics so that you can make the adjustment to parenting. We have a range of educational and support groups that run within and alongside our practices to connect you to a wider village or tribe to also assist in this transitional time.
We welcome initial contact so you can see if we are the right fit for you.
